5 Sites to Download Online Videos Free
Article updated March 14th, 2017
With the plethora of online video sites available today watching free videos on the web is easy. Unfortunately, we don’t always have time to watch videos online when we find them. That’s what downloading videos is for, so we can watch them at our leisure. Most free clips these days, though, are embedded into the web page — making it harder to download online videos to your computer.
The old “Right click, Save As” strategy doesn’t always work so well anymore. If you want to download a video embedded on a site like YouTube, you can still do so if you have a video downloader, such as the RealPlayer Downloader that comes with the RealPlayer Cloud desktop app. If you don’t have a free video downloader installed on your computer, just click the orange button on the top right corner of this page to download RealPlayer Cloud free.
DOWNLOAD ONLINE VIDEOS AND BUILD UP YOUR VIDEO LIBRARY
We’ve rounded up five online video sites full of great content where you can find and download free clips and watch the videos at your leisure. Whether you’re interested in seeing the latest viral video sensations, watching old movies, finding the latest in entertainment news, watching movie trailers, or discovering new video channels with fresh content daily these free video sites have you covered. To make sure a free clip is legal to download, look for licensing information about the video. Typically, videos with a “Creative Commons” license are legal to download, but may have limitations on how you use the video.
Watch Your Videos Anywhere
Download the RealPlayer app and add videos to your personal cloud drive. Then you can watch them on an iPhone, Android smartphone, PC, tablet, and even your TV using RealTimes.
1. YouTube
You’re probably already familiar with YouTube, the world’s most popular free video sites and the third most popular online video site on the entire Internet. YouTube racks up a staggering four billion video views daily. The appearance and interface of YouTube are straightforward, providing a simple yet effective video player in the middle of a white screen. Any registered user can upload their own video to YouTube.
The site has also become a popular source for official versions of music videos, movie trailers, and particularly crowd-pleasing TV commercials. Most of the free clips are shot and submitted by regular everyday YouTube users, and some – like a few well-known funny cat videos — have gone on to enjoy enormous global popularity on YouTube.
2. Metacafe
Metacafe is another online video site specializing in shorter free clips and more popular videos. Whereas YouTube is a giant, endless buffet of videos, Metacafe is more like the Chef’s Special of the Day – fewer overall videos that are well-organized and easy to find free clips in genres like Music, Sports, and TV. Metacafe keeps an outstanding array of current movie trailers, and then pairs them with exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes videos related to that particular movie. Metacafe’s “Trending on the Web” section curates and collects the Internet’s most popular viral videos of the day. It’s a great place to quickly find a certain popular viral video you’ve heard about.
3. Dailymotion
One of the largest online video sites in the world, Dailymotion makes finding free clips easy with a nicely organized home page. Dailymotion visitors see a slew of the current videos in categories such as Funny, Geek Out, News, and countless others. Most of the free clips on Dailymotion are less than four minutes. Registered “super users” can upload videos of up to an hour in length and in high-definition (HD), but you don’t have to register to download the longer videos. Some of the video categories on Dailymotion are a little racier than most YouTube categories, but family audiences can still enjoy watching free clips from categories like Animals and Games. Dailymotion is easy to navigate, and pulls up galleries of recommended videos that you’re likely to enjoy based on your viewing habits.
4. Vimeo
Specializing in HD, Vimeo is one of the more popular amateur online video sites where the results are anything but amateur. Most of the free clips available on Vimeo are user-submitted; it’s not a site to visit if you’re looking for popular music videos or movie trailers. What you will find, though, are big and beautiful HD videos shot by some of the most skilled up-and-coming directors and animators. The Vimeo video screen is far larger and has a higher resolution than any of the other sites mentioned here. Those who like to upload videos to your cell phone will appreciate that the free clips on Vimeo are optimized for playback on mobile devices.
5. IMDb
The Internet Movie Database has become more than just a tool for figuring out who’s that actress in the movie you’re watching. IMDb has grown into a site that offers movie trailers and free clips from popular talk shows like “The Late Show with David Letterman” – all of which can be downloaded to your computer. There are also full episodes of TV shows that can be watched at IMDb. The online video site even offers a huge gallery of full-length movies and short films made by up-and-coming directors.
Many of the movies and short-films listed on the site are available for viewing, however, you’ll be given the option to go to another site such as Crackle or Amazon to watch the movie. Note: those online video sites typically require a subscription. That said, there are older video options on the site such as Paradise Canyon with John Wayne, that don’t require a subscription. Those videos are part of the Internet Archive Project and can be watched online for free or even downloaded from the site.
DOWNLOAD ONLINE VIDEOS WITH REALPLAYER VIDEO DOWNLOADER
With RealDownloader and RealPlayer Cloud, you’ll have the ability to download any online videos you see and save them to your computer. If you’ve installed RealPlayer, when watching a video online in Fire Fox or Internet Explorer you’ll see the “Download This Video” button appear at the top right corner of the video player. Click that button, and the RealPlayer downloader will download the video to your computer and store it in the RealPlayer library.
If you use Google Chrome, click the flashing “down” icon in the top right of your browser to see a list of all the videos on your current page, and download any of them you like.
Do you have other favorite sites for downloading videos? Any great recommendations for short films or epic funny videos? When do you watch the videos you download? Let us know below in the comments section below.

real downloder after 90% not install
The realplayer download tab no longer appears (Version 16.0.0.282). I have two computers running XP and one with Windows 7. Both computers with Windows XP using V16.0.0.282have stopped downloading. The Windows 7 system still works with the previous version (15.0.6.14). I am afraid to upgrade to the new version and take the risk of Realplayer stop working.
I have realplayer15 then piad for realplayer 16 still no pop up download button in the right corner, I am still unable to download web video, I am on Lap top pc,window 7, every thing is met the requiment, what else can I do?

WINDOWS 8 SUCKS!!! IT HAS COMPLETELY MESSED UP MY ENTIRE LIBRARY ON MY REAL PLAYER. I CANT WATCH MY MUSIC VIDEOS, PICTURES, AND MOVIES ANYMORE. COMPLETELY SCREWED UP MY LAPTOP. SIMPLY HATE, HATE, HATE IT!
Help the download button dosnt show up. is it because i am using Safari?
i use Free realdownloader today and it is installed, after restating my PC i just tried in you tube the downloadbox it is not apper, what to do?
So I downloaded realplayer 15, and now the video download doesn’t work. I have a laptop running windows 7 64-bit, and I use google chrome.
Try using Firefox. If you’re using a Mac, it won’t show up instead download the RealPlayer downloader and you’ll get a pop-up screen showing you videos that you can download. Just click download in that screen to save videos.
I have tried every recommended step to sort out why I do not get the download video button in google chrome. watched youtube videos followed step by setp instructions. i checked add ons are enabled and they are still no joy. one thing I did spot was on one of the youtube videos I noticed one option in real player itself is under the download & recording category. I do not get the download under that category at all. It just says recording. this is after un installing and re installing too.
I am also having a problem with RealPlayer 16 download. Am using a Lenovo laptop, AMD A6 processor, Windows 7 Home Premium, and Internet Explorer 9. Tried to download a video from youtube yesterday and download window did not pop up. Tried downloading RealPlayer, was warned there was a version installed, but I re-installed. No help. Today I uninstalled RealPlayer, defragged the hard drive, and re-installed RealPlayer. Rebooted the laptop and tried to capture two different videos from youtube. The expected “Download this video?” balloon did not appear for either video.
Another laptop, a Toshiba Satelite C655D, with Windows & Home Premium, Internet Explorer 8, and Realplayer 15, did not have the same problem.
Any suggestions? Is RealPlayer 16 the problem? Both laptops are 64-bit.
This web page just helped me big-time! Thank you very much!

the download button won’t appear on my screen and I have the latest version what can I do to fix this?
Family guy
Like so many above I can’t download any videos. My problems started when I upgraded to the latest version of free Real Player.
I can’t remember my password and although the Real Player webb site says they have sent me a new password I haven’t received it. Do I need a password for Real Player to work?
Can I download an old version anywhere? perhaps that might help.
The customer support you suggest is only for paid versions of real player. I can’t see the point in paying for the service if Real Player no longer works properly.
Please Help

Hi Alfredo, I can see that you are really frustrated. Let me be clear that what you are experiencing isn’t a RealPlayer issue, but I can provide some information that will hopefully help. RealPlayer 15 isn’t compatible with the desktop version of Windows 8, however RealPlayer 16 is. If you have RealPlayer 15, uninstall it and install RealPlayer 16. To do so, follow ALL the instructions at the below link, to include deleting the RealPlayer folders. Click here: https://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8721.

However, to download videos using IE 32 bit, enable the RealPlayer plug-in within your browser. To do that, follow the steps here: http://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8883.
If that doesn’t help, send an email to help@real.com so that we can help further.

ur the best of all.
I have tried to uninstall it several times. It says there’s an error. So I can’t get it out of my system.

I went to all these sites and download a ton of on line videos. Thanks. I never knew there were so many on line video sites. Are you going to write another post with even more on line video sites soon?

I use Mozilla Firefox web-browser & sometime is there when I need it, & sometime is not.
Like right now, I need it, & can’t download the videos that I want.
I’m looking for info trying to find out how can I get it back.
I have 2 videos that I want to download from YouTube, but can’t! Thanks RealPlayer!!

Thank you for this article. I always enjoy using the Real Player when watching videos on the web.
Awesome program for sure. But will I get a Copyright Alert System warning from my ISP if I use it to download something from YouTube? Or does that only apply to P2P sites?
Hi Bill,
RealPlayer can download unprotected online streaming videos. However, we respect copyright protection so if the video is protected RealPlayer will not download it.
I have downloaded and re downloaded realplayer time and time again. The downloader won’t work, the player wont show the video , if it will open the file at all. I’m getting disgusted with this crap. If you have a realplayer site that is functional with a functional version of the Real Player with a FUNCTIONAL DOWNLOADER please let me know on my facebook page Jeff Harwood, or at harwood.jeff4@gmail.com
Hi Jeff,
As requested I have sent you an email with instructions, kindly check your mail.
It works flawlessly. Thanks team!

Can you assist me? For about a month now I have been unable to download videos from YouTube. I have tried from several different computers; a Windows Visa, Windows XP, Windows 8, and a Mac. All with the latest Real Player update and I have tried different browsers Safari, IE, and Firefox. Sometimes I get the video but no sound, sometimes I get sound but no video and other times I get just a blank screen. I have been able to download from other sites. Do you have any suggestions or know when Real will update to fix this issue.
Hi Steve,
This is due to changes made at YouTube and we are working with them to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can try the temporary solution provided in this link (if you are using Internet Explorer):

Hello Rosa,
YouTube and other sites have introduced a new streaming standard and we are working on an update to RealPlayer that will allow for this new format. In the meantime, you can try the temporary solution provided in this link (if you are using Internet Explorer):
https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23698236
When we have an update on the status of this issue, we will let you know.
I used to be able to do download of videos when no problems.
Recently I had to replace bad hard drive and had to install the latest copy of Real Player. I was surprised that I could no longer do video download.
I got downloader exe installer but I got message saying Real Player Plus was installed. I don’t see it.
What is happening?
Please send an email to help@real.com, include a brief description of the issue, copy and paste the link to this thread within the email for further assistance.
I’m using Firefox and IE and noticed in the setup you only have a selection for MS IE. I’m not sure what’s going on but the tab that used to come up with the mouse over the video saying Real download is gone. It also is gone in IE but was working but just stop last time I was trying to download a video on YouTube. Is there anyway of adding more browsers to the option where you select IE where you can turn on and off the tab that lets you download videos. I don’t know if my McAfee internet security software has or is interfering with realplayer. I installed a file dowloader in the firefox browser and it worked with Realplay until lately. I’ve turned off all the add-ons in Firefox and that didn’t matter. The Realplayer tab shows up in Googles Chrome and does download videos. The Realplayer tab doesn’t show up in Opera or in Apple Safari. I’d like to get it to work in Firefox and MS IE again. Could you point me into the right fixes to get the Realplayer tab to come up again. I bought your program just so I could record and make DVD’s. I like the program when it’s working. I don’t know if my video editing software may have caused any problems. I’m sure you test all that out. I have Hitfilm and Sony’s film studio which I tried out but haven’t take the test copy off yet. I’m using Adobe Premiere elements because Windows 7 didn’t like my version of Premiere 6.
If you could email me with your ideas on the fixes I’d really like that. Are you going to be able to use Realplayer with other streaming services like Netflix?
Thank you for your time
Bob Sakall

RealPlayer Downloader is all but obsolete/useless now, since doesn’t virtually everyone use a 64-bit browser now? So what gives? Why can’t RealPlayer update to work with 64-bit browsers? Come on guys, who uses 32-bit anything anymore? There is absolutely no way to download videos using IE 64-bit… for a year or two? I thought maybe I’d check back in a few months and surely there would be an update to work with 64 bit browsers, but no? I’m confused. What seems to be the hold up with this? 64 bit browsers are hardly “new”, but they are basically the standard now. As a matter of fact, with IE 10, you can no longer even launch a 32-bit session simultaneously, you would have to permananrtly force the browser to run 32-bit. On a 64-bit system. At virtually half the speed. Forcing an unecessary 32-bit bottleneck on a 64-bit system on the most used application for most computers is borderline insane. When will RealPlayer catch up to 2 years ago and come out with a 64-bit update? Sure would be nice to be able to use the dowloader again. You had a great thng there.
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. I have forwarded your feedback to the appropriate team. Your insights and opinions will help us in our ongoing efforts to enhance our products and services.
Bom dia eu comprei o produto do Real Play e tem vídeo no Youtube que que faz o download mas não converte
alguém podereria me ajudar obrigado.
Por favor, forneceu-nos mais algumas informações para ajudá-lo ainda mais,
> Qual é o formato do vídeo baixado?
> Desde que o site que você está baixando vídeos?
> Você recebe nenhuma mensagem de erro quando você reproduzir o vídeo baixado no RealPlayer?
> Será que isso acontece com todos os vídeos baixados?
Quanto mais específico você for, melhor eu vou ser capaz de ajudá-lo.
I am using Windows XP system and downloaded several full movies from the YouTube site in .flv format.
While i am watching the foreign language movie in Youtube, I have the close caption (English subtitles) working. However, the downloaded movie does nor have it. Why not? How can I download the subscript as well?
RealPlayer supports both text captioning and descriptive audio for files (clips) that include these features. Text Captioning converts audio into subtitles, and Descriptive Audio provides a running narration of the images that occur in a clip. These features make audio and video clips more accessible to people who are hearing-impaired or vision-impaired.
Note: If the makers of a clip choose to make text captioning and descriptive audio available, you can access these features in RealPlayer. If they do not, enabling these features will not make a difference.
To enable text captioning or descriptive audio in RealPlayer:
1. In RealPlayer, click the RealPlayer logo, then Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
2. In the Category pane, click Content.
3. Under Accessibility, select one or both of the following check boxes:
– Use supplemental text captioning when available
– Use descriptive audio when available
4. Click OK.
If text captioning and descriptive audio do not work for a given clip, even after they are selected, this means that the clip maker has not provided these features.
the first version of real player was awesome- I loved it. then I “upgraded,” and I use that term loosely because an upgrade is supposed to be better and make a program easier. HOWEVER, the new version of real player sucks and Im really pissed off right now because I need to download music onto my iPod and now I cant even do that. so thanks a lot to the douche bag who made the new, “upgraded” real player. because of you, I will now ride the bus every morning and evening for 2 1/2 hours WITH NO MUSIC.
Sorry for the inconvenience, please provide us some more information:
>Does RealPlayer detects the ipod connected to your computer.
>What exactly happens when you transfer files to your Ipod?

Good evening,
I have a question the same as some others. I have a Mac with Safari and I cannot get the downloader to download ANY videos from YouTube. It acts like it is downloading when I click download on the downloader, but then when I click play – it acts like it is playing but with no video or sound. A friend of mine has a Mac also and she can get hers to download. Is there something in the Mac settings that is preventing it? I am so confused.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!! 🙂

Realplayer used to be nice when it could download videos form the internet. Now all it does is download the commercials that preceed the videos and nothing more! Guess we’ll have to find a better downloading system than realplayer.
It worked well for me
It sure work well for me.
If you click on ‘Download This Video’ when the commercial is playing, only the commercial will get downloaded. To download the video, you need to click on ‘Download This Video’ after the commercial gets over.
i’ve downloaded the newest version of realplayer (realplayer cloud).
the ‘download this video’ button did work, but when i tried to play the video in my library, there was no sound at all.
the video came out almost perfectly but audio didn’t work at all. what’s the problem?
Hi,
I am hasin . strategy doesn’t always work so well anymore. If you want to download a video embedded on a site like YouTube, you can still do so if you have a video downloader, such as RealPlayer. If you don’t have a free video downloader installed on your computer, just click the orange button on the top right corner of this page to download RealPlayer free.
Please provide us some more information:
1. What is the format of the downloaded video?
2. From which website did you download the videos?
3. Does this happen for all the videos you downloaded?
4. Have you tried downloading video from different web sites?
The more specific you are, the better we will be able to assist you.

It sounds like the RealDownloader must be running in background process. Try closing it by following these steps:
1. Open Windows Task Manager (right-click anywhere in the bottom bar of your screen, and select “Start Task Manager”).
2. Click the Process tab.
3. Right click on “recordingmanager.exe” and select “End Process Tree.”
4. Then try to open RealDownloader again. Click the Start button at the bottom left of your computer screen, and navigate to All Programs > RealNetworks > RealDownloader.
5. In the RealDownloader window, click the RealDownloader logo and select Preferences.
6. In the Preferences window, notice the path listed in “Save local file to. ”
7. If you see anything which says like “LibrariesVideosRealPlayer Downloads” click on “Browse” button, select the folder “RealPlayer Downloads” (If you don’t see any such folder, create a folder by this name) and click on “Select Folder”. Then Click on “OK” button.
8. Now try to download videos.
If this doesn’t work, please send an email to help@real.com, include a brief description of the issue, copy and paste the link to this thread within the email for further assistance.
this info was quite complicated. i felt sssoooooooooooooo bored after reading it
I have noticed that several Carman music videos will doiwnload as Dash files. How do I open those? I tried the Dash download from Google and it asks for a password. What do I do to watch them? Also a randomly occuring problem is that I will download a video say 30 minutes 55MB according to RealDownloader. It will download all the way same amount of time as others being downloaded; no problems or restarting and aoutomatically converting to MP4. I open it and it plays 15 seconds and quits. No error message just stops like it ends. In the RealDownloads, File Properties, and RealPlayer its size shows up as 55Mb. I have run a Virus scan and nothing appears thankfully. What do I do to get it to play completely? The source video can be still playing in the background. There are no commercial interuptions on the “live” video.
Sorry you are facing issues with downloading videos. Performing a clean uninstall and reinstall can help you resolve many issues, to do so follow this link: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23994572
Note: Make sure you delete the RealPlayer folders as mentioned on the link before reinstalling RealPlayer.
After installing RealPlayer follow the steps to enable the RealPlayer Plugin in your web browser,
https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856
Some sites have introduced a new streaming standard. The latest build of RealDownloader is designed to automatically convert videos to playable .MP4 format at the end of the download. Hence, while downloading videos, you need to wait until the thumbnail of video gets loaded. After thumbnail gets loaded, video will be saved in .MP4 format. If you close RealDownloader window before it converts the video, it will get saved in .DASH format.
If this doesn’t work, please send an email to help@real.com, include a brief description of the issue, copy and paste the link to this thread within the email for further assistance.
Do I need to have a plug-in for Chrome to download videos? In Chrome the download option doesn’t appear on the top right.
Thank You
RealPlayer Plug-in will get automatically installed in your web browsers during RealPlayer installation process. You need to enable the plug-in in your web browsers to download videos.
Follow the steps to enable the RealPlayer Plugin in your web browser: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856
Note: If you are unable to locate the RealPlayer Plug-in in your web browser, you may have to perform a clean uninstall and reinstall. To do so follow this link: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23994572
‘Download This Video’ has limited its compatibility with the latest version of Google Chrome (31). We have fixed this with the latest update of RealPlayer Cloud. RealPlayer Cloud is compatible with only Windows 7/8 & available for US & Canada. If you live outside of the US and Canada, rest assured we will be making this fix available for RealPlayer 16 worldwide in early 2014. In the meantime, you can use alternate browsers like Firefox or Internet Explorer 8/9/10 to download videos.
IF you have additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com
i downloaded the new real player cloud can you still down load movies with it???
Yes! Please follow these steps:
1. Go to your favorite video website and play a video.
2. Move your mouse over the upper-right corner of the video.
3. The Download This Video button appears. Click it to begin downloading.
That’s it. RealPlayer Downloader opens and takes care of the download for you.
If you additional question, please send an email to help@real.com
Dear Real Player Team,
I want to asking regarding problem with my real player, after I download a video from youtube in the Real Player Downloader got notification “Download incomplete.Refresh page and try again.”
Would you help me to solve this problem, thanks.
RealNetworks released RealPlayer Cloud in English worldwide for Windows 7 and higher operating systems. This latest version will fix the “download incomplete” issue with YouTube and supports Chrome 31 and Internet Explorer 11. If you are on Win 7 or higher, please uninstall the current version from Control Panel, go to http://www.real.com and download the free version RealPlayer Cloud. If you purchased RealPlayer Plus version 16, you can login using your email address and password to access your premium features.
Customers that are on Win XP or Vista, we will be working on a similar fix for RealPlayer v16 and hope to release that soon but do not have a date yet. For customers that prefer to wait for your localized language (not US English) we are working on those versions that as well.
If you have an additional question, please send an email to help@real.com
I got a nice comment for you people. What the hell’s wrong with you? You keep releasing new versions of your players but you don’t get the other versions working at all. I’ve downloaded the Real player about 40 times and it keeps asking me to check the “Download Video” feature and I always make sure that box is checked. I then download it and I always go to YouTube and the download video button never appears. I’ve also downloaded the Real player downloader and I still have the same problem. It won’t let me download a thing on the internet. I’ve even tried it using other video sites and it still doesn’t work for me. Please contact me with the correct download features so I can do it. I was going to buy your Real player that you have to pay for but if the free version don’t work I’m not going to waste my money if the free version doesn’t work. If that don’t work to my satisfaction I know damn well the pay version won’t work as advertised either. Please get back to me but please don’t get back with me with that bullshit e-mail that says your looking into my question. That e-mail’s as bullshit as the Real player itself is. Thank you.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please make sure that you have enabled the RealPlayer browser plug-in by following this link:
https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856
After that, try to download videos. If the issue still persists, please provide some of the following:
1. What is the name of web browser you are using to download videos? (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome)
2. What is the name of Operating System installed on your computer? (Windows XP, Vista, 7,8,8.1)
3. What is version of RealPlayer installed on your computer?
To find, follow these steps:
1. Open the RealPlayer software.
2. From the RealPlayer menu in the upper left, choose “Help” option.
3. Choose “About RealPlayer” inside the “Help” menu. A window opens.
4. Look for the information listed beside “Version” near the top of the “About RealPlayer” window. These numbers indicate the version of RealPlayer currently installed on the computer (i.e. “RealPlayer 16.0.3.51” or “RealPlayer 17.0.6.13”).
The more specific you are, the better we will be able to assist you further and if you have any additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com
I just purchased the latest version of realplayer. The reason for why I purchased it was so that i would be able to download videos from Youtube. However it doesent work. No download icon appears above the right corner of the video. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the realplayer (realplayer cloud) but the situation remains the same. There is no way of downloading videos anymore. I would appreciate some help either by fixing the issue or by a refund.

Sorry. RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. RealPlayer Cloud includes all the functions of RealPlayer 16, as well as allowing you to upload and share videos, play them across your various devices, and watch them on your TV using Chromecast, Roku or Amazon Fire TV.
If you purchased RealPlayer Plus 16, when you update to RealPlayer Cloud, you still get all the premium features of RealPlayer, including burning DVDs, accelerated video downloads, cleaning your music library, printing playlists, and more.
Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
Please be aware that we are no longer making any updates to RealPlayer 16 or earlier versions, and popular features such as Download This Video may not work on these versions. Therefore, we strongly recommend using RealPlayer Cloud.

Am using android phone and I need to download some videos for my saxophone lessons.please how can I use the real player with my phone?
can real player work on android phones?…I really need a video down loader.
I see that you are using Tecno H5 Android phone. RealPlayer Cloud Android app is compatible to run on your phone. However, this app can’t download videos from Internet directly. Alternately if you have a PC which has RealPlayer Cloud desktop software, you can download Internet videos by following this link:
http://cache-download.real.com/free/windows/mrkt/help/RealPlayer-16/en/RealPlayer-help.htm#Recording_Download-Record_Web.htm
Once downloading the videos, you can upload them to your cloud account by following this link:
http://cache-download.real.com/free/windows/mrkt/help/RealPlayer-Cloud/en/RealPlayer-help.htm#upload-video.htm
On your phone, please sign in to the same account and you can download any videos that have been uploaded to your Cloud Library or stored on a connected device or PC. Just tap and hold the video, then tap Download in the bar that appears at the top of the screen.

Everything posted made a lot of sense. However, think about
this, suppose you were to create a killer title?
I ain’t suggesting your information is not good., but suppose you added something that grabbed folk’s attention?
I mean Best Sites to Download Online Videos Free —
RealPlayer is kinda plain. You might glance at Yahoo’s front page and note how they create post titles
to grab viewers to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get
people excited about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it might
make your website a little bit more interesting.

Real Player cloud is not compatible with WINDOWS 8, I tested the software and in my case the computer showed me that the software is not compatible.
In a laptop that has windows 7 I download the old version of Real Player 16 and worked as always during all the years I have been using it.
Something is not working properly and it is time taking to try to figure out. Definitively decided to erase cloud real player and use laptop to download and work with real player.
RealPlayer Cloud is compatible with Windows 8. At this time, RealPlayer Cloud is available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. Other customers are able to install and access all the features of RealPlayer Cloud. In this case, I recommend you to disable the firewall temporarily and then try again. You can use alternate browsers like Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

We are no longer distributing RealDownloader, as it does not support newer browsers and file formats. If you have Windows 7 or higher, you can install RealPlayer Cloud to download videos. RealPlayer Cloud includes all the functions of RealPlayer 16, as well as allowing you to upload and share videos, play them across your various devices, and watch them on your TV using Chromecast, Roku or Amazon Fire TV.
First, Download the free version from http://www.real.com (depending on your operating system, the button may say Download the Free RealPlayer or Get RealPlayer Cloud Free).
Next, enable the download plugins by following this link:

Hello,
I am trying to download videos using cloud web videos, but when I click on download this video, it gives an error message “Real down-loader has stopped working”. I also uninstalled as mentioned above and tried re installing but the problem continues. I tried downloading through Mozilla, I keep getting the same error. In chrome and IE I don’t even get that option.
To fix this issue, change the download location and then try again. To do so, follow this link: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/24071053
Make sure that you have enabled the RealDowloader plugin in Internet Explorer browser. Follow the instructions given in the link to below:

Regarding Google Chrome:
With the release of Chrome 35, Google has announced that they will only allow customers to use extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Therefore, Download This Video will not work in Chrome 35 and above. We are working on a solution that we expect to release in the near future. In the meantime, please use Internet Explorer or Firefox to download videos.
If the button does not appear after enabling the plugins, follow these steps:
1. Open RealPlayer Cloud.
2. Click on RealPlayer Cloud Logo.
3. Go to File.
4. Then select New and then New Web Browser.
5. Type http://www.youtube.com and then choose a video.
6. If ‘Download This Video’ button is not enabled, make a right click and then select ‘Download This video’ option.
For Internet Explorer:
1. Launch Internet Explorer.
2. Go to http://www.youtube.com or the URL of the website.
3. Choose a video and then make a right click when the video starts playing.
5. Select ‘Download This video’ option.
Hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com
