RealCloud is Now Available on Amazon’s Fire TV

Fire TV, the long-anticipated set-top box from Amazon is finally here! It plugs into your HDTV for easy and instant access to RealCloud, as well as Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, WatchESPN, SHOWTIME, low-cost video rentals, and more. Fire TV also brings photos, music, and games to the living room.  This is great news for RealCloud fans, as they now have another way to watch their video collections, along with Roku and Chromecast, on their big screens.

The Fire TV launch seems like the next logical step for Amazon since they moved into the streaming video space and have been competing with both Netflix and Apple’s iTunes. They also began producing original content, such as Alpha House, but have yet to achieve the blockbuster status Netflix’s original programs House of Cards and Orange is the New Black have garnered. Amazon has recently greenlit several new shows as well that will air later this year or in early 2015. The new set-top box competes with Roku and and AppleTV to stream movies and shows from the Internet to your TV.  Fire TV, available starting today, retails for $99.
