We’ve added new features to RealPlayer and RealPlayer Plus 16 to enhance your experience. The two products have all the great features expected such as the ability to download online videos with just one click and burn DVDs, plus a whole lot more.
The latest version of RealPlayer can be used to bookmark videos and makes video discovery a breeze by delivering the most popular videos on the web right to RealPlayer. While RealPlayer Plus 16 features PlayPack, which can be used to play virtually any video file format, and Cleaner, which cleans your music library to quickly eliminate duplicate songs to free-up storage space on your computer. That’s only a small sample of what’s available in the new versions.
WHAT’S NEW IN REALPLAYER
In addition to being a universal media player with a robust library for storing and organizing videos, music, and photos, RealPlayer is now an ideal video discovery companion. With the monumental amount of videos online finding the one you want is harder than finding a needle in a haystack. We wanted to make it easier for you to discover new videos without having to spend endless hours searching the Internet to find the videos everyone is talking about.
Enter the new Web Videos feature. We scour the web for you and deliver the latest and most popular online videos right to your RealPlayer library. See a video you like? You can still download and save it. We’ve also incorporated a new bookmarking feature as an additional menu option in the Download this Video button that appears in the right corner of a video. When you bookmark a video, RealPlayer saves a link to the video so you can watch it at a later time. Click on the Bookmarked Videos link in RealPlayer to see the videos in one place.
To help organize the videos found online, we’ve created video channels based on popular categories such as sports, news, entertainment, music, and more. In addition to these channels, we’ve also included a video search bar. Simply type in the name of a video you want to find or video topic, and click search to get a list of video results from around the web. Then use the incorporated social media features to easily share video channels with friends.
WHAT’S NEW IN REALPLAYER PLUS 16
There is an abundance of video file formats on the Internet, with new ones being developed. Finding a video player that can play any video and supports a numerous amount of codecs isn’t easy. That’s why we’ve included PlayPack, which now supports webm, DivX4, DivX5, and Xvid codecs, and can playback the internal subtitles found in the MKV file format. The purchase of RealPlayer Plus 16 also includes free upgrades to future PlayPack additions, making it the only media player you’ll ever need.
While you can burn CDs with RealPlayer, you’ll want to upgrade to RealPlayer Plus 16 to burn DVDs and DVDs of HD videos that can be played in Blu-ray players. There’s no need to buy expensive blank Blu-ray discs to burn DVDs of HD videos. Simply select AVCHD DVD Videos from the DVD drop down menu and choose HD videos to burn to a standard DVD. Once the disc is burned, play the DVD in your Blu-ray player. We’ve also included the ability to trim videos, convert them to different file formats, and transfer high-quality videos faster.

Folks, I’ve been a serious supporter of RealPlayer ever since I got it last year. However, I must say that I paid $50 back then for RealPlayer Plus 15, and I love it. There are only a few bugs, and you generally have good customer service. I appreciate that.
With all that said, though, the price to upgrade to this version is quite ridiculous. Even with your offer for 50% off for current Plus users, I will have spent $75 on this program. Most software suites that include more than one program are about that price. This seems very problematic to me. For just one program, over the years, I could pour over $200 into it if you keep offering update prices like this. I love the features of RealPlayer, but paying for it once was enough.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m willing to pay to upgrade to Plus 16 at this point. To me, it’s not worth it financially. Instead, I could get by with using a combination of several other free and reliable programs.
I appreciate your development and support, RealNetworks, but I don’t appreciate the hit I take on my wallet. I can imagine that a lot of other middle-class users feel the same way.
For now, I’ll pass on upgrading at all.
-Robbie B.
I would like a hard copy of your plus 16. I have had three hard discs crash in the last year (The problem was solved). Any programs that I did not have a disc was lost. Please e-mail me and let me know how to get a disc of the program.
Thank you

I have realplayer version 15.0.4 and when I booted up my computer today there was an update notice. I don’t trust those updates like that, but like to go the source to make sure it is legit… unfortunately I can’t seem to find any place on your website for an update to download, only a newer version. I don’t want to lose the stuff I have downloaded so I am reluctant to delete the old version to download the newer one. Help.

I have been purchasing Real Player Plus upgrades for several years. I recently allowed the update to the free, so I had to again purchase the upgrade to 16 plus. It keeps crashing without remedy. I wish I had never updated or bought the upgrade. If yours is working, DON’T be stupid like me, don’t upgrade.

It lasts for quite awhile and it even includes updates to new codec packs.
Have you downloaded the latest version of RealPlayer?

Purchased the upgrade from 15 to 16 plus. The only problem i used to have with 15 was not being able to get download button to appear above videos on youtube…finally got this sorted out after getting a lot of useless advice from Realplayer when the solution was as simple as disengaging pepperflash all along. Now with paying for the upgrade am getting the download button just fine but after downloadint the player will only play the first 30 seconds to 60 seconds of the video before it stops and says replay. Can we (as i see it is quite common now) have a professional fix for this and some speedy advice unlike the non appearing download button of before?
Hi Roy, as far as playback, there isn’t an option to level volume. You can do this when burning tracks. Simply follow these steps:
Click on the Burn tab in RealPlayer
Click on option 3 “Edit Options”
In the dialog box, check the box for “Make volume equal across all tracks”
If that doesn’t help, send us an email at help@real.com so that we can help further.
Hi Ana, thanks for your purchase! You should have received an email confirmation from RealNetworks. Please check your SPAM or Junk folder, it may have gone there.
In the meantime, below are the steps you need to take to get up and running on RealPlayer
First, download the free version of RealPlayer at: http://www.real.com
Once downloaded and installed, you’ll need to sign-in to access the premium features. Follow the steps here: https://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8508

Hi Robbie, we appreciate your business and are glad for your support. I do understand the need to watch finances. The full cost of RealPlayer 15 was $39.99, and you are correct, the upgrade to 16 is $24.99 (with the 50% discount).
We do charge for upgrades (like most software companies), as the newest version typically addresses issues from the prior version, in addition to providing new features and functionality.
However, you aren’t required to purchase the upgrade and can continue to enjoy RealPlayer Plus 15. If needed, we are here to provide you with support for your version, typically through 2 newer versions – in your case, 17.
I am sorry to hear that you’ve decided against purchasing version 16, but certainly understand. Thanks for taking the time to write to us.
If there is anything else we can help with, please send an email to help@real.com.

Hi Jdcc, I can see that you’re understandably frustrated. To clarify, we didn’t “turn off” the option; Google Chrome’s Pepper Flash isn’t compatible with RealPlayer 15. However, it is compatible with our newest version, 16. If you are using 15, disable the Chrome Pepper Flash plug-in. If you are using 16, ensure it is enabled. I paid a small fortune for Real Player Plus 16 and other upgrades but it keeps crashing every time I burn cd’s. I make a playlist of tracks, then I use the Edit options and choose the crossfade or the ‘ Do not add the 2 second’ option. Then I click ‘ Burn to disc’, then it goes through the usual proceadure. But when it starts to burn I get an ‘ Burning Error’ msg that’s telling me to use the ‘ Add the 2 second option’. For the price I paid I expect all features to work properly to my expectations.

Hello to the folks of real media. I must say I felt like a sucker purchasing realplayer plus last year. But however now that I look back at the purchase..Realplayer and realnetworks is just phenomenal. I appreciate the video downloaders and media file converter. (so i can convert all those rare songs by bands i love and converrt them to mp3! ^_^” awesome feature very convenient. Now onto the layout now it’s not as simple as scrolling through winamp or mediamonkey but, I don’t care about that, it’s a good layout and the customizing is good. Ok here is something I love about realplayer (yes another thing)… THE EQUALIZER. I’ve fiddled with alot of media players and to find a good equalizer…I really only use 4 of the 15 or so presets all are good though, and the sound is so good on my system, winamp equalizer?!? lol forget about winamp! Now looking back I’m glad a purchased and supported the realnetwork softwares. and best thing is once I purchased this I don’t need to purchase another one. thanks realmedia for enhancing my audio and visual experience. the purchase was well worth it and it paid for itself with all the music I got now! Realplayer is great and the best!
I bought and downloaded RealPlayer 16 Plus.
Now I have a HUGE problem.
RealPlayer freezes instantly when I clcik on the icon to open it. The RealPlare picture freezes on the desktop and I cannot use it also if I click on it many times..
What must I do to be able to use RealPlayer again?
It is my main video player.
Thank you.

I uninstalled version 15 and reinstalled it on my computer. My Downloader button is NOT working and I have disabled the pepperflash in chrome. It worked fine up until today. The solution is NOT downloading version 16 because it does not work in version 16 which is why I reverted back to this old version. Please offer help for how to download.
Sorry for the trouble, Kristy. To resolve this issue, send an email to help@real.com along with the brief description of the issue (Copy and paste the link to this thread in the body of your email for reference) so that we can help resolve this issue at the earliest.
Is there a special trick to get the Real DownLoader to work? Mine won’t work in either of my browsers, even though the plugins are enables . . .
Hi S.,
Please send an email to help@real.com with a brief description of the issue along with your phone number and convenient time, so that we can help you to resolve this issue at the earliest.
I’m using Windows 8 Prof. After installing the RealPlayer Plus 16, the downloader is not working. I can’t see the popup button. Please advise.
Hi Patrick,
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1. Open Windows Task Manager (right-click anywhere in the bottom bar of your screen, and select “Start Task Manager”).
2. Click the Applications tab.
3. Right click on RealDownloader and select Maximize. This will open the RealDownloader window in full-screen mode
4. Resize the window by scrolling the mouse to the bottom left or bottom right corner of the window; when the double-headed arrow appears, click and drag it to adjust the size.
5. Close the window. Next time you use Download This Video, the window should open to the size you selected.
the Downloader is NOT WORKING. I’ve seen hundfreds of posts across many sites now. Nobody who did the damn update to 16 can seem to use it properly. I for damn sure have it sitting right there in my damn start menu, but when I’m watching a video, I get no prompt to download the video. Fram any site. I’ve been using realplayer for years doing this. This sucks. I know the blah blah blah pepperflash thing… but there is also, when looking at Chrome plugins, near the bottom, a bunch of realplayer plugins that are new since the download of 16 and one of them references pepperflash:
RealNetworks(tm) RealDownloader PepperFlashVideoShim Plug-In (32-bit) – Version: 1.3.1.2
so what gives? Do I disable both plugins that rference pepperflash or only the flash one near the top of my plugins? You’ve not done a very good job explaing what it wrong with this issue, and it should be explained ON THIS PAGE, so people searching for it can find it and not have to contact realplayer directly. POST TROUBLESHOOTING IDEAS

Even though I made Real Player my default internet player and have always been able to download videos, recently there are a lot that I cannot download on YouTube. Why is that? I believe they are Flash videos.

in the free version of realplayer 16 can you convert file formats or is that only in the plus
Hi Thomas,
Using free version of RealPlayer you can convert video files to audio formats like MP3/WAV/WMA/AAC and you can also convert to different video formats like 3GP/RealVideo/WMV.
H.264 encoder conversion is a premium feature. If you try to convert videos to MP4 (h.264) format you will be prompted to purchase RealPlayer plus.
Check this link for more information: https://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9079.
If you have additional questions, let us know by emailing us at help@real.com.
Yes, you can convert most file formats using the free version of RealPlayer. If the format isn’t supported in the free version then it should be available in the Plus version.
Why is Realplayer 16 automatically converting downloaded videos? I went into preferences but don’t see any option tor turn this off. I don’t want any of the conversion options on Realplayer, I want the AVI format. How do I turn the conversion process off?
Why is Real Player always crashing, freezing or not finishing downloads?
I was thinking of purchasing the plus version, but every version I have tried, has given me endless problems and only works on and off. The down loader feature often just disappears or crashes.
Thank You

I am extremely frustrated with your product.
1) All of the promises that the 16 plus version for a $29 upgrage were false. It was $29 plus $20 to get the accelerated downloads. Now, if I read the post purchase disclosures correctly, these only apply with partner sites and I must be logged into your site to acces those.
2) Now that I have installed the software, not only can I not download videos, neither my FoxFore or Internet Explorer programs will even display a video.
I used to be a fan but that is changig rapidly!
How do I fix my browsres to display videos?
Hi Bill,

Hi,
I have a question about the free version of RP 15. I have downloaded the free version of RealPlayer 15 on both of my computers: one is a Windows 7 desktop, and the other is an HP Windows XP Netbook. I also have a Zune mp3 player. I frequently download YouTube videos on my desktop with RealPlayer, convert them into Zune format, and then put them on my Zune to watch later. However, when I download videos with the same version of RealPlayer on my Netbook and try to convert them to Zune format, it sends me to a screen to get a paid version of RealPlayer. I do not have the paid version of RealPlayer on my Desktop or Netbook, so I’m not sure why I can convert to Zune format on my Windows 7 but not Windows XP. Also, I have not downloaded any sort of conversion software on my desktop–my version of Realplayer just converts to Zune on its own. How do I convert videos into Zune format with Realplayer on my Netbook?
I’d love to be able to convert files to Zune on my Netbook, since, when I travel, obviously I cannot take my desktop with me, and therefore cannot put any new videos on my Zune until I get home. It would just make things much more convenient.
I’d appreciate it if you guys could post an answer to this question here, instead of just referring me to a techsupport email address.
Thanks!! 🙂
Hi Abby,
Let us know whether you are trying to convert .mp4 format to Zune format.
I recently got RP 16 and in general am well pleased. One frustrating thing, though, is that with my ViewSonic 27″ 1080p monitor, during your view screens while I’m listening to a local PBS HD radio station, regardless of the Viewscreen choice that I make the lateral borders are blank – black – which is rather distracting. Is there any way to emable a full screen display? I have an Nvidia (EGVA) GTX660Ti superclocked video card, an i7 -930 processor, 24GB of RAM and 3TB of HD capacity. With everything else, including Cyberlink 12 Ultra, I always get a full screen image. Can this deficiency be rectified? Thanks.

I have the free version of RealPlayer installed and it’s up to date, however, everytime I open the program it freezes and then it’ll redeeme itself in a short period of time. That isn’t the end of the problem though, as when I go to play a video from the libary – it’ll run somewhat smoothly for about ten minutes – then freeze again. Only this time, it’ll shut itself down and completely crash – resulting in a need to restart the program. Even when I go to click on a video in the libary the program becomes unresponsive – it’s so infuriating! This never happened before I updated it, what do you suggest I do? It’s getting extremely vexatious.

Hi Peter,
Please send an email to help@real.com with a brief description of the issue to assist you further.
I have Real Player 16.0.2.32 installed on Windows 7.
I am having the same problem as listed in Real Player knowledge base:
https://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9853/kw/MP4/p/9
Any idea when the above may be addressed? I noticed the problem began early April 2013. Here is an example of a You Tube video which, when downloaded (in HD) with RealDownloader, will NOT play via RealPlayer or convert using RealPlayer Converter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASO_zypdnsQ
This is becoming more a rule than an exception.
Thanks,
Tracy

I have had great success with previous versions of real player plus. The real player 16 has been a problem numerous times. Most of the time the real player downloader (the vertical arrow icon) either stays minimized in the taskbar or won’t work at all. The latest problem concerns the fact that the downloader did not download at all with reinstallation of 16 under technical supervision. Please help correct this problem. I would appreciate a response at patricktoomey2@msn..com. Thanks

Thanks for fast response.
I already know about that link for BASIC clip info edit.
I would like to Add or Edit extended clip info such as “Comment, lyrics, keyword, custom 3, Director etc.”
This option was available in previous versions, has it been disabled or how can I edit these info for multiple entries.
Thanks,
Bought it and only one month and 11 hours later, it is still not working. Thanks!
Hi. I’ve recently upgraded to RealPlayer 16, but i think i’m starting to regret it. The videos I’ve downloaded won’t play…. and it is over 150+ MB in memory (because it’s a movie) and i am quite upset that a useless file that large is just using up valuable memory on my laptop. I first thought it was because it was because of the length of the video and they may have been some disturbance in the connection while downloading that caused this problem, but when i downloaded a 1:34 secs and a 4 minute video, the same problem persists. I rechecked my internet connection and nothing was wrong with it. I am not a paid customer, but i was however thinking of going Real Player Plus but this changed my mind completely. Is there a way to fix this problem? Could it be something i did wrong? Because i followed the same procedure for downloading a video like the older version.
I have purchased Real 16 plus and downloaded it on my pc at work. It works perfectly. I had the previous plus version on my home pc, but for some reason the new version keeps crashing. I states Realplayer has stopped working. Can one install the plus version on 2 pc’s with one purchase?

Hi Asha,
Sorry for the inconvenience, this is due to changes made at YouTube and we are working with YouTube to resolve the issue. However, here are some steps we think might resolve the issue.
Workaround steps for Internet Explorer
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools
3. Go to Manage Add-ons
4. Disable Shockwave Flash Object
5. Close & reopen Internet Explorer
6. Go to http://www.youtube.com and play the video you want to download
7. It will prompt to ‘Upgrade Adobe Flash Player’ (Ignore this message)
8. Attempt to download. Now files should get downloaded and are playable
Please be informed that we have already tested these steps with few customers and it worked on their computers. Even after disabling the Shockwave Flash Object plug-in, the YouTube videos are playing in Internet Explorer. If the videos doesn’t play, kindly enable the plugin and wait for our team to find a permanent fix for this issue.
If that doesn’t work, send an email to help@real.com so that we can help you further.

When does the NEXT NEW VERSION come out? I hate to pay for the same product a THIRD TIME only to find out 3 months later I have to pay a FOURTH TIME. It’s starting to seem more and more like a scam 😛
Hi,
I’m sorry if our upgrade policy wasn’t clear to you. When purchasing RealPlayer Plus, you’re purchasing that version for one-time charge. The purchase entitles you to receive updates & support of that specific version for no additional fees or hidden charges. You can stay with that version as long as you like; there is no requirement to upgrade (we support up to two RealPlayer versions back). New versions are new products & like most software companies, we charge for major upgrades. -Sean N
Been using your product since you released it, never had any issues. With this new update, I can’t convert any downloaded videos. This is because, upon pressing the convert button, an ad demanding I upgrade to the paid version pops up, and closing it prevents the conversion from taking place. If you’re going to cripple the free version of your software, don’t mislead me by saying it works. It doesn’t. I’m sorry guys, I’m taking my business elsewhere… I had full intention to buy RP 14 in full, but now, I don’t think you deserve a cent from me. Good day, sirs.

I recently installed Realplayer 16 and I’ve been having trouble downloading Youtube videos and converting to Mp3 format.
Normally, when I download videos, it downloads slowly and a window pops up with a thumbnail image of a video and I can convert. Since I updated my Realplayer, the videos download fast and no thumbnail image comes up, just a blank thumbnail image with the play button. When I try to convert the “video”, a message says “failed to convert.”
Another thing that I noticed that the blank thumbnail images have a different extension than the thumbnail images that do show up. The extension I usually have is .flv; the blank thumbnail images are mp4 format.
I don’t have this problem all the time; sometimes, I end up searching for a different Youtube video of the same thing I want and it downloads fine. So why do i have this problem on most videos?
Hello Ive upgraded realplayer recently and now when I download videos on Youtube on Firefox and they wont play on realplayer or on windows mediaplayer and I cant convert them either, please help!

Select the ‘Sign In’ option, and sign in with your email address and password. After you are signed in, you should see a RealPlayer Plus icon located in the upper left corner of the player.
I just downloaded the new version of Realplayer 16. I figured out how to download streaming videos, but it only works part of the time. Sometimes it says unable to download, and upon retry still doesnt work. It doesn’t seem to randomly succeed or fail, it’s more like certain videos will download and others won’t. How do I correct this problem.

Go into Preferences – Library – File Locations – Music
It won’t let me change the default file location. I change it click ok, it remains the default, I believe this started with this version of RealPlayer.
—
This is STILL a problem. Even after a clean install it still won’t change the locations.
Also, recording on-demand streams has a glitch and has for years! If you don’t start recording from the very beginning of the file, it does NOT start recording at the point you are at (I believe the option is called “Record from Current Position”). e.g. if you want to start recording the stream at the 1 minute mark, you actually have to click record at the 30 second mark and just wait. So if you want to record the end of a 2 hour program, you have to cue it up at the 1 hour mark and click record and then wait for a whole hour until the stream reaches the point you actually want to record!
Why doesnt the new version of downloader show the time remaining for each download?
Hi,
Please follow the below steps:
1. Open Windows Task Manager (right-click anywhere in the bottom bar of your screen, and select “Start Task Manager”).
2. Click the Process tab.
3. Right click on “recordingmanager.exe” and select “End Process Tree.”
4. Then try to open RealDownloader again. Click the Start button at the bottom left of your computer screen, and navigate to All Programs > RealNetworks > RealDownloader.
5. In the RealDownloader window, click the RealDownloader logo and select Preferences.
6. In the Preferences window, notice the path listed in “Save local file to. ”
7. If you see anything which says like “LibrariesVideosRealPlayer Downloads” click on “Browse” button, select the folder “RealPlayer Downloads” (If you don’t see any such folder, create a folder by this name) and click on “Select Folder”. Then Click on “OK” button.
8. Now try to download videos.

Hi. I had used RealPlayer for many years, it has been a great experiences. I really like it a lot.
But recently I had issues playing the videos I downloaded from Youbtube. I can’t play the videos in Realplayer. I noticed the extension used to be .flv, but now it’s .mp4.
I tried to play the videos in QuickTime Player but it just shows a black screen and no sounds, although the timer is running.. Does that mean something?
I disabled the Shockwave Flash Object in the Internet Explorer, but still it didn’t do anything.
At this time, I can’t download any of favorite videos from Youtube. What else can I do?
How soon will this become a permanent fix?
Hello,
I have been using RealPlayer for many years. But recently I can’t play the videos that I downloaded from Youtube. I noticed the extension name isn’t .flv but .mp4. I tried playing in QuickTime – the box pops up (looks like it’s struggling to work – I can still see part of my desktop inside the QuickTime screen). But I can tell the QuickTime screen is black. I press the play button – the timer is running but there’s no picture (black screen) and with no sounds.
I tried the converter from .mp4 to .flv and play the video in the Realplayer. It shows a black screen and with no sounds, but the timer is running fine.
Is there something I’m doing wrong? What else can I do?
Please do let us know when this problem with RealPlayer and Youtube Compatibiliy is fixed…
Thank you,
Sandy

I am having trouble with downloaded videos for the net. They are now saving (in v16) in MP4 and then won’t play and I can’t convert to audio files. I looked this up on net and the suggestion was to uninstall Realplayer and reinstall earlier version. do I really have to do this or is there a way to get the videos to play & convert in v16?
If I do reinstall v15, will I lose all my previously saved video & music files?

i have a question.if i upgrade to realplayer 16 plus from the basic version, will that allow me to keep all my previously downloaded files?
Let me inform you that, Whenever you try to download a video, the files will be stored in your computer’s hard drive and the copy of those files will be displayed under RealPlayer Library. So if you upgrade to RealPlayer Plus 16, the previously downloaded files won’t be deleted.
Since you are a paid customer you are entitled to live support. I’ve sent a message to the email address associated with your account. Please respond and we’ll go from there.

How come I can’t convert mpeg 4 video files using real plus 16 like I can with flv files?
Some sites have introduced a new streaming standard. Essentially, the files that are being downloaded are not actually MP4s but a new streaming format that is being misidentified as MP4.

I have bought every upgrade available and once in a blue moon the download icon will appear over a video. It will not work and they will not help you. It does not matter if it is Opera, Bing, Firefox it will not work. A waste of money guys!
Sorry for the experience, enable the RealPlayer plug-in in your browser by following: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856-Download-This-Video-option-does-not-appear
If that doesn’t help, send an email to help@real.com to assist you better.
I have the free version of real player, but it will not let me play anything from my computer. Every time I try to play a mp4 file, it gives me the “upgrade to realplayer plus” popup, and when I click the “X” or “No thanks,” it closes, but still doesn’t let me play the video. When I open the file again, the popup reappears.
Try installing QuickTime/iTunes to enable the necessary codec for RealPlayer to play/convert .mp4 files.
1: QuickTime : http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
or
2: iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After installing QuickTime/iTunes, try play/converting the files through RealPlayer.
Is there not a download and recording option under preference anymore. I have version 20 of firefox since i was having so much issues with 23. I downloaded the new version of realplayer 16, but i can’t fond where to make it able to download videos with firefox or google chrome.
Let me inform you that, RealPlayer 16 has an in built RealDownloader. Here are steps to find the download and recording option in RealPlayer 16:
1. Click on Start Menu.
2. Click on All Programs and select RealNetworks.
3. Select RealDownloader and click on RealDownloader logo.
4. Select Preferences and there you can see the download and recording option.
Enable the RealPlayer plug-in in your browser by following: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856-Download-This-Video-option-does-not-appear

Why does Realplayer 16 Plus list some music videos in the Music Library and others in the Video Library. They are all music and I choose all music in the Music Library. I would like for all music video or otherwise to be listed in the Music Library.
Please provide some more information to assist you further,

>What is the format of the file you have in Video library?
>Did you convert any video files into MP3 format in the past?
The more specific you are, the better I will be able to help you.
Today I downloaded RealPlayer 16 because I found that certain mp4 videos would not play on the previous version, so I figured it was necessary to update the program. Now I find that I’m facing the same issues! The same .mp4 videos will not play, and I don’t know what to do. I can’t even convert these videos (I had the same problem in Real 15). I was hesitant to download this new version, since Real 15 worked fine. What can I do to get my videos to play? Also, if the solution to this problem would also work in Real 15, how can I return to the previous version?
Thank you.
Some sites have introduced a new streaming standard. Essentially, the files that are being downloaded are not actually MP4s but a new streaming format that is being misidentified as MP4. We are working on an update to RealPlayer that will allow for this new format. We expect to release a fix with the next RealPlayer 16 build in late-August.

Received 2 ‘ Luhe.Fiha.A ‘ alerts from AVG whist attempting to update from RP 15 to new RP 16. The update failed & RP vanished when I permitted AVG to remove the offenders. Please remove the Luhe.Fiha.A infections & notify us here on your site when accomplished. Loved RealPlayer till now & wish to return as soon as you have addressed this problem !
RealNetworks takes precautions to ensure our software is clear of viruses.
Sometimes anti-virus software companies release definitions that trigger a false alert when certain programs are launched or certain files are accessed. Your anti-virus software may tell you that you have a virus when you do not. This can happen when a program performs a task, like copying a file from one location to another, in a way that the anti-virus software looks for based upon the definitions.
You should run updates of your anti-virus software, including virus definitions, then perform a full system scan. This will eliminate almost all false alerts.
If you believe you are infected with a virus or worm, visit your anti-virus manufacturer’s website for removal information.

Your free download is not free if it keeps looping me back to make outside offer purchases when I keep selecting the “No Thanks option. This is very disappointing and disingenuous. Either it is or it isn’t. Don’t try and force users into something. I’ve always appreciated the simplicity and straightforward nature of you products. This method will not encourage me to upgrade.

I followed the instructions I was provided with a few weeks ago in order to fix the downloading problem with RealPlayer 16. It worked; thank you! I have a question, though—the videos I have downloaded since the upgrade do not have a thumbnail. Well, they do, but it’s just a gray icon with the “play” button in the center. It’s no big deal…I would rather have the videos and no thumbnail than vice versa, but it’s just nice to have. Is this a glitch in the temporary solution to the downloading issue? Also, I’m still having a problem downloading a certain video, and it may not be due to an issue on your end, but I wanted to ask anyway: This video has an ad at the beginning, unless I hit the refresh button and then the video begins without the ad. If I download the video without the ad, should it save in my library? I’m having trouble getting it to play, or even convert. It appears to be an mp4, so if the update to Real 16 works for all other video formats, maybe it won’t save because of the ad. Does this sound right? Thanks for your help!

Dear Real Team,
I down loaded RealPlayer Plus on 02/06/10 ( Order no 305784990 ) not knowing that I have to pay every month, and couldn’t use the RealPlyer Plus since then because I think I made a mistake when I was down loading it. Please help me to stop this deduction from my credit card. They have been deducting this since 2010 July .

I bought real player Plus 15 a couple years ago and had fairly good results. I bought a New Computer and transferred data. I had poor results transferring videos and burning the data from the old computer to the new computer…In desperation I bought the “16′ version and lost a lot of 1-2 year old videos and had trouble burning. I finally got it to work in a hit or miss fashion… I sort of gave up on you and stewed for about 5 months. I had my new computer re-loaded today again with the data off my old computer and most of it showed up right away. I was happy and assumed that my real player 16 Burner was functional. No luck, so I downloaded it again and NOW only 5% of my former videos showed up in my library!!! I admit that I am not the most savvy computer software user, but that is exactly why I paid for your program twice in 2-3 years… ALL I Want To Do Is Download Videos And Burn Them Later!!! You have so many extra bells and whistles that your original purpose is destroyed. I want to save, burn and play video/audio on my TV. Nothing else. I am old ,tired and pissed off that people concentrate so much on the newest Idiocracy that you forget and dismiss your primary function and objective, or perhaps merely gathering money your primary objective… I realize that the piss ant whinebags demand that every New Electronic toy be accommodated to your product but maybe you could concentrate on the basics and ignore the cry baby whine bags and return to your primary objective. Old Sarge
PS, If nobody ever bought new computers or had a new hard drives fail perhaps all would be perfect, but I have to live in the real world… By the way I was the electronics supervisor at Cape Kennedy Space Center from 1984 to 1993 and greatly assisted in putting all 29+ the satellites for our Global GPS System from Launch Complex 17 A and 17 B… We changed the world and I do not feel the least bit stupid for being behind the times on software… I will give you remote control of my computer if you want to help me. Thanks for reading my rant….

I recently bought a external hard drive with the intention of ripping my dvds onto it. However I cant find anything in realplayer that lets me rip dvds, do I have to upgrade to plus, or should I seek a 3rd party program to rip/encode and then import to realplayer? Any help here would be greatly apperciated.
RealPlayer does not support ripping, or burning a copy of, a copy-protected (commercially-produced) DVD disc. DVDs created on a home computer can generally be copied.
The download accelerator was working until a few days ago.How can I turn it on please? According to your system I am logged on.Thanks

how do you change the default download folder for real player 16
I used to be able to tell real player what folder to send downloads when using the real player downloader. Preferences then downloads then change the default folder. Cant find that option now.

3) Search for RealNetworks.
4) Click RealDownloader.
5) It will open RealDownloader window.
6) Click on RealDownloader logo and then select preferences.
7) Click on ‘Browse’ button and select the location where you need to save the downloaded video files.
8) Select a preferred location and click ok.
9) Try to download the video again.

Since I installed RealPlayer PLUS 16 on my Windows8 desktop, RealPlayer will not change the file names of my clips because (according to RealPlayer), “This location appears to be write protected.” This is not the case. the free version never give this error message. Hi:
I was wondering why I can no longer view videos I download from youtube? I wrote in earlier this year and they told me it was because youtube is using a format that is no longer compatible with Real Player. I am using version 16 with Windows 7 Professional. Are you going to be able to resolve the issue? Thank you!
Hello!
I bought Realplayer 16 last month, but it does not download youtube videos anymore like before.
Please advise me how to fix it!

Using RealPlayer basic version, which always worked on Windows XP. Now using Windows 7, and every few seconds (sometimes more, sometimes less often) the ‘record jumps’ (i.e. there’s a little break in the music / video). Tried twice uninstalling and re-installing. It’s the same files which I’ve got for years, without previous problems. When using RealPlayer Converter to convert a file to .WMV and then playing in Windows Media Player, it plays fine (hence, it’s not a problem with the file, and nothing to do with my current web browser, just somehow that Real Player doesn’t seem to work properly on Windows 7).
Running Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
Otherwise thanks for Real Player
If your computer is running Windows 7, the problem may be due to a Compatibility Mode setting in Real Player. Here’s how to fix this:
1. Click the Windows Start button in the bottom left of your computer screen.
2. Right-click on the RealPlayer icon.
3. Select Properties.
4. Go to the Compatibility tab.
5. Uncheck the box under Compatibility Mode.
6. Click Apply.
7. Click OK.
The next time you start RealPlayer, videos should play correctly.
OR
Disable 16-bit sound.
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo in the upper left, then click Preferences. The Preferences dialog opens.
3. Under Category, click Hardware.
4. In the Sound Card Compatibility section, click Settings.
5. Clear the Disable 16-bit sound check box.
6. Click OK, then OK again.
7. Try using RealPlayer again to see if it improves the quality of audio playback.
Disable custom sampling rates.
If disabling 16-bit sound does not improve audio playback:
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo in the upper left, then click Preferences. The Preferences dialog opens.
3. Under Category, click Hardware.
4. In the Sound Card Compatibility section, click Settings.
5. Select the Disable custom sampling rates check box.

Help! Realplayer 16 on Windows 8, HP pavillion laptop. the player keeps launching on it’s own when I am not asking for it. I used it once to listen to a ringtone audio file. i just uninstall my realplayer from my lappy…
i think i dont need to keep it anymore as i not able to watch video that i have download..realplayer let me download it but not let me play the video or convert it..there only show me to upgrade it to realplus whenever i try play my downloaded or convert it…well..i admit it..i can’t get the real plus..its crazy expensive for me..then i decide to uninstall it..btw..thanks Realplayer for the all free serve before..
Previously with Realplayer15 I was able to remain signed into Realplayer Plus. Now however, since I paid an extra subscription (again) to upgrade to Realplayer 16, I find that I am automatically signed out whenever I close the programme and have to sign back in again each time to open Plus. This would not be such a problem if I didn’t keep getting ‘Service unavailable’ notices half the time I try to sign in.
What’s going on? I didn’t pay an extra subscription for this!

Thanks for your interest in RealPlayer! By default, RealPlayer can play RealAudio, RealVideo, and MPEG files. It can also play other media types if the appropriate plug-ins and codecs (compression/decompression systems) are installed. Some file requires Plus feature to play/convert. Try installing QuickTime/iTunes to enable the necessary codec for RealPlayer to play/convert .MP4 files.
1: QuickTime : http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
or
2: iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After installing QuickTime/iTunes, try playing/converting the files through RealPlayer. If this doesn’t work, please send an email to help@real.com, include a brief description of the issue, copy and paste the link to this thread within the email for further assistance.
I am not able to use RP 16 after signing in because the auto update freezes while installing play pack and any updates after that. It fails to update on my laptop.

I have RealPlayer Plus Version 16.0.3.51. Up until yesterday, my videos were all stored in the Library under Videos, my music was stored under Music, etc.. Yesterday I received a warning message in Realplayer which said that the last time I closed Realplayer the database had been corrupted and advising to allow Realplayer to repair it. I agreed but now my library is a long long list of videos, downloads and music, all together.
Please advise?

“Download This Video” button has limited compatibility with IE 11 (the default browser for Windows 8.1). We’re working to correct this in the next RealPlayer release later this fall. In the meantime, to download videos to RealPlayer (either free or paid version) using IE 11, you can uncheck Enhanced Protection Mode in Internet Properties by following Microsoft’s instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2864914
If this doesn’t work, please send an email to help@real.com, include a brief description of the issue, copy and paste the link to this thread within the email for further assistance.
Arrrrrrrrrghhhhhh!! I have just purchased the Realplayer 16 version. Have created my first playlist. I have tried to burn it, and it”s crashed twice causing me to lose my cd’s with half burned tracks on them. Please help! It’s the first time that I have used the paid for version of real player. The free one never game me any problems!!
How do I disable automatic conversion of video files downloaded by Realplayer Downloader 16? I prefer to leave them unconverted then convert them myself if need be. This “feature” is especially annoying as it tends to muck up aspect ratio in conversion & I cannot find a way to shut it off

Some sites have introduced a new streaming standard. The latest build of RealDownloader is designed to automatically convert videos to playable .MP4 format at the end of the download. If you close RealDownloader window before it converts the video, it will get saved in .DASH format (not playable). There is no option to disable the converter.
i use google chrome and sometimes i start fighting wt my mouse all over the video to show d download button and when it finally shows,(in rare cases) it’ll tell me unable to download. i dont think i wanna trust real player anymore

I did try to get real player 16 for free. I had to purchase something from a site and then I could get the real player 16 for free. It would have been cheaper for me just to buy the damn Player plus. I spent 164 dollars on a ring through trial pay and then I was suppose to get the real player 16 for free. So far I have been at the computer for hours and cannot get the player. Please help me out here. I am running low on the funds but trying so hard. I feel like I can’t win. How do I go back and get my real player 16 plus for free. Thanks for all your help Linda Hill
Real Player is utter garbage from beginning to end. Yonks ago the fuckers fleeced me out of money by charging my credit card each month for some fictional downloads – I’ve never downloaded a fucking thing from this rotten mob of fraudsters. I ‘upgraded’ a couple of times – for ‘upgraded’ read ‘got conned’ – to the so-called definitive version ages ago now but the crafty fuckers almost permanently offer ‘better’ versions. It’s like the donkey and the carrot crap. All my version lets me do is play DVDs and some downloads.
Shove your crap up there where the sun doesn’t shine. I can’t even burn a frigging DVD unless I buy the ‘upgrade’.
So where the hell is the new version of realplayer and why doesn’t the downloader work?

I’m happy to report that the issues that prevented “Download This Video” from appearing in IE 11 and Chrome 31, and caused “Download incomplete” or “Unable to download” error messages, have been fixed in the new build of RealPlayer Cloud, released on Dec. 18 at 4:00 pm Pacific time.
If you have RealPlayer Cloud or RealPlayer 16 (and are in the US or Canada, running Windows 7 or 8), you can download the new build (at no charge) by clicking the RealPlayer logo in the top left corner of the player, then clicking Check for Update and following the prompts to install the upgrade to RealPlayer version 17.0.
If you live outside of the US and Canada, rest assured we will be making this fix available for RealPlayer 16 worldwide in early 2014.
To update RealPlayer,
>Open RealPlayer

Have RP16
I want to edit out the voice on some download audios and record my voice with the music. How?
Thank you for your interest in RealPlayer!
At this time, RealPlayer doesn’t support the feature to edit the audio files.
I have used Real Player 16 for quite a while though not recently and have updated it. Don’t have Real cloud though
.I cannot seem to download any videos at all–neither by clicking on the upper right part of the video on the real player “browse the web” area nor on the normal internet location like youtube.
What is going on and where can I get help?? I looked in the HELP section and it just says to click in the upper right hand corner–that’s not working. I am really annoyed and spent a lot of time trying to figure this out.
Please tell me what to do!
Thanks so much!
Sorry for any inconvenience!
One solution to fix this is to completely remove RealPlayer from your PC, then reinstall RealPlayer Cloud.
Note: This fix will only work for customers having Windows 7 or 8.
Please uninstall the existing software using the instructions here:

I used to be able to bookmark my favorite videos by simply moving the cursor up to the right hand corner of the video and selecting either “Bookmark” or “Download” from the pop-up menu. This feature seems to have disappeared. What happened to it? It was the most salient feature for me.
If you are using RealPlayer Cloud, you can bookmark a video from a website on your PC, when you see the Download This Video bar come up, click the arrow and select “Bookmark This Video.” To bookmark a video you see in the Web Videos tab, hover over it and click the bookmark icon in the upper right corner of the thumbnail.
Your Bookmarks will appear on any device signed in to your RealPlayer Cloud account. To view your Bookmarked videos:
– On iPhone/iPad: Tap the small blue Bookmark ribbon icon in the upper right of the Web Videos screen. Then, tap a video and select Play to watch it.
– On Android: Tap the small blue Bookmark ribbon icon in the upper right of the Web Videos screen. Then, tap a video and select Play to watch it.
– On website: Click Bookmarked Videos in the left menu. Click a video to start playing it.

I have uninstalled and reintsalled it several times, but this has not helped. Any solution from support team because I am thinking of uninstalling it altogether. Thank you!

2. Right-click on the RealPlayer Cloud icon.
3. Select Properties.
4. Go to the Compatibility tab.

i had problems with my computer and had to do a system restoration and trying to download realplayer 16 again. what do i do.
RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. RealPlayer Cloud includes all the functions of RealPlayer 16, as well as allowing you to upload and share videos, play them across your various devices, and watch them on your TV using Chromecast or Roku.
If you purchased RealPlayer Plus 16, when you update to RealPlayer Cloud, you still get all the premium features of RealPlayer, including burning DVDs, accelerated video downloads, cleaning your music library, printing playlists, and more.
Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
Please follow the instructions to download RealPlayer Cloud Plus,
>You can download RealPlayer Cloud from: http://www.real.com
Note: If you are running Windows XP or Vista, please click this link to download RealPlayer 16: http://cache-download.real.com/free/support/win/RealPlayer16.exe

To find the version:

See here`s the thing, The desktop it`s on is packed away and somewhat hard to get to so I`m trying to download the same version on my laptop so I can sign in to the real player in order to use the paid for things like the ten band graphic equlizer and the ability to burn DVD`s. I know it had to be the 15 or 16 version but I also remember it does not just say Version 15 in the (About) . It say`s something like 15.73510.08 or to that affect <– just an example I made up. Also the desktop has windows xp and this laptop is windows vista. Will this be any problem when putting it on this computer ? Thank you for any help you can provide.
To locate the version of RealPlayer purchased, please follow the steps below:
1. From your Web browser, visit My Account at https://account.real.com/acct/login.html.
2. Enter your email address, and then type your email address. Click on “Billing Information.”
I see that you have purchased RealPlayer 15 Plus which is no longer supported. As RealNetworks makes new products available to customers, it is not possible to continue supporting legacy and historic products, including RealPlayer 15. Product development has stopped, and no updates or security patches will be released for these product versions.
Many problems you might have using these older products can be resolved by upgrading to a current version (RealPlayer 16 for Windows XP and Vista), as long as your computer meets the current version’s system requirements.
*** We have released RealPlayer Cloud for Windows 7 & higher operating system and our department is working to make RealPlayer Cloud compatible with Windows XP later this year. Once it is available, you can install and access the features of RealPlayer Cloud.
As you wish to access the plus features of RealPlayer 15, click on this link to download: http://cache-download.real.com/free/support/win/15/RealPlayer.exe
Note: Download This Video feature may not work and so you need to use the right click option to download.
After it is installed, sign in to access the plus features. Here’s how:
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo at the top left corner.
3. Select “Sign in” from the drop-down menu.
4. Sign in with your email address and password.
If you wish to install RealPlayer 16, click the below link. However, you can’t access the plus features of RealPlayer.
http://cache-download.real.com/free/support/win/RealPlayer16.exe
Hope this helps!
All the new features sound good. But I want an option where instead of paying 4.99 and up a month I still proffer the older option of paying once and when I download realplayer onto say another laptop or pc all I need to do is download the newest free version sign in and I’ll get access to all the premium features that I have all ready paid for. Or if my windows version is n longer in use when I purchase a new laptop or PC with a newer version of windows simply download the free version of realplayer as usual sigh in and start using my premium features as usual or pay a one time fee of say 20 to 30 bucks to upgrade to he latest premium version.
To access the plus features of RealPlayer, either you need to purchase RealPlayer Plus or activate RealPlayer Cloud membership.
As you wish to access the plus features with single payment; you can purchase RealPlayer 16 Plus. With RealPlayer 16 Plus, you can access all the premium features of RealPlayer cloud like burning DVDs, accelerated video downloads, cleaning your music library, printing playlists, and more. All you have to do is to place the order for RealPlayer 16 Plus and then install RealPlayer Cloud. After it is installed, sign in to access the plus features of RealPlayer Cloud. Here’s how:
1. Open RealPlayer Cloud.
2. Click the RealPlayer Cloud logo at the top left corner.
3. Select “Sign in” from the drop-down menu.
4. Sign in with your email address and password.
You need to pay, if you wish to upgrade your Cloud storage space. We do have an option to earn additional Cloud space. For more information, please visit this link: http://customer.real.com/entries/25959483
To purchase RealPlayer 16 Plus, click this link: http://www.real.com/realplayer-plus
If you subscribe for a RealPlayer Cloud membership, you can access the plus features of RealPlayer Cloud and additional Cloud Space as per the subscription.

Note: RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
Please be aware that we are no longer making any updates to RealPlayer 16 or earlier versions, and popular features such as Download This Video may not work on these versions. Therefore, we strongly recommend using RealPlayer Cloud.
Downloaded the FREE Realplayer 16 program. Can no longer play downloaded video content from Youtube. Blank screen, no sound, but timer runs through. What is wrong? Is there a solution???
Yes. There is a solution. Please read this article for instructions to troubleshoot the play back of downloaded videos:

I just purchased a new HP laptop and am trying to figure out where to download the Real Player Plus 16 that I had on my old e machine laptop which I paid for. The program did update and now shows on the old computer as Real Player Cloud Plus but where do I download it to the new computer before I get rid of the old one without having to pay for the program again?
Thanks for your help in this matter.

First, you need to install the basic version of RealPlayer and then sign in to access the plus features.
If you’re using Windows 7 or higher operating system, I recommend you to install RealPlayer Cloud Plus. It includes all the functions of RealPlayer 16, as well as allowing you to upload and share videos, play them across your various devices, and watch them on your TV using Chromecast, Roku or Amazon Fire TV.
To download, click this link: http://www.real.com/
After downloading the free version, sign in to access the Plus features of the player:
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. From the RealPlayer menu in the upper left, choose Sign in.
3. Enter your email address and password.
After you are signed in, you should see a RealPlayer Plus icon located in the upper left corner of the player.
Make sure to enable the RealDowloader plugin by following this link: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23689856
Hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com

Sorry, there is no manual option to switch on the Acceleration. The accelerated video download feature of the RealPlayer Plus is not allowed by some websites; however, it should always work with downloadable YouTube videos. You can try downloading this video: http://www.youtube.com/user/realplayersp#p/c/18BE209C7321B0AA/2/zwCasFaIZoo

I did purchase Real Player’s video download and used it for quite some time and it still has a few of the videos that I downloaded and saved to discs. All of a sudden it simply stopped working. The small dialog box that popped up when I was watching a video on the Internet that directed “download to Real Player” no longer opens. I cannot understand why it no longer works.

With the release of Chrome 35, Google has announced that they will only allow customers to use extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Therefore, Download This Video will not work in Chrome 35. We are working on a solution that we expect to release in the near future. In the meantime, please use Internet Explorer or Firefox to download videos.
If you have any additional questions, send an email to help@real.com
Please help me, I have a real player 16 plus, which I paid for, but my Accelerator button is off, how can I get this to be on…?

I am using Realplayer Converter 16.0.3.51,with my Firefox browser.
I just downloaded, off Youtube, a song in WMA, which i now wish to convert to an MP3 file. After selecting “MP3″ in the CONVERT TO box, when I press the green START button, it invariably takes me to a screen which says: ”
———————————————————————————————————————-
Higher Quality Video & Your Personal Video Cloud
by upgrading to RealPlayer Cloud Premium
•Watch high quality videos on your smartphone
•Transfer videos upto 100% faster
•Access to all RealPlayer Cloud Premium Features – £40 value
•+100GB of personal video cloud storage
Only £7.99 £3.99/month
———————————————————————————————————————–
The screen gives me NO CHOICE to get out of it. It is forcing me to subscribe to the service, which I do NOT want.
Therefore I have to shut the screen, and by doing so I go back to the earlier conversion window, which effectively means that I cannot convert anything, since if I press the green START button, the same thing (as above) happens again.
Pls tell me a way out of this.
RealPlayer can convert files in a variety of supported formats. For a complete list, visit this link:
http://cache-download.real.com/free/windows/mrkt/help/RealPlayer-16/en/RealPlayer-help.htm#converter_file_types.htm
Purchasing RealPlayer Plus is required to convert from the following formats (this includes converting to MP3 from one of the listed formats):
– mp4, AAC, MPEG4, H.264, .mov — these formats require either RealPlayer Plus or QuickTime installed on your computer.
– MPEG-2 and VOB files require RealPlayer Plus for conversion. (Note: RealPlayer Converter is designed to convert VOB files from home videos that have one audio track; commercial videos or videos with multiple audio tracks may not convert successfully.)
If that doesn’t work, please follow this link:

Still if the issue persists, please send an email to help@real.com
All of a sudden some of my YouTube videos on my RealPlayer have gone transparent. They still work for now. If I try to convert some of them it takes me to where I have to upgrade for money. I can’t afford RealPlayer Plus. I can only afford the free RealPlayer. Bad enough some of my friends tell me they pay for RealPlayer and can’t download off YouTube. Or anywhere else for that matter and certainly not to MP4
What is the problem?
Barb Lodermeier
It happens if there is an issue with the downloaded videos. First, you need to make sure that the file plays in RealPlayer. Also, check whether you’re seeing the thumbnail view or audio icon when the file is added to RealPlayer Converter. If it shows audio track icon or does not play, please redownload the file.
If it plays, please update the below codec’s using Internet Explorer:
Flash Player Plugin (Free): http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html
Shockwave Player Plugin (Free): http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/
QuickTime PlayerPlugin (Free): http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
K-Lite codec (Free): http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/KLite-Codec-Pack_Full/1094057842/3
If this does not resolve your issue, please let us know.
