Weekly Top 5: YouTube Geek Week Videos
YouTube got chic with geeks all week, with their inaugural Geek Week campaign to highlight gaming, superheroes and highly illogical feats of science. The best YouTube science channels have been given special promotional attention and a big-budget emphasis all week, with trailers for YouTube Geek Week playing after the credits of big summer movies and Geek Week Easter eggs sprinkled across various YouTube properties. YouTube Geek Week is a great idea for highlighting some of the massive amount of videos uploaded hourly on the site, and YouTube even added a Geek IQ test to see if you qualify as a geek. Finding the top Geek Week videos on YouTube is hard, though, because their page mostly just shows off the videos being hyped for promotional purposes. Finding the top Geek Week videos on RealPlayer Daily Videos is easy because RealPlayer Daily Videos ranks the most popular videos that day.
